To describe a day out with the Jeep Safari team as a fantastic day out is a massive understatement - we have just returned from two weeks in Menorca and the day we spent with Jacque after being picked up from our apartment by Pepe is by far the favourite day of our holiday, my two children(9 & 11) have both chosen to write about the day for a piece of school work they have to do about the best thing they did on their holiday!, it really was fantastic. You often read reviews on websites and either they seem to good to be true or they are all awful , please believe me when i say every one of the excellent and very good ratings are truely deserved by these guys. Firstly the two guides - Pepe - who came all the way to Cal'n Bosch (far SW corner) to collect my family and i in the morning (the collection from your hotel/apartment is included in the price!) , a very nice guy who was very friendly and funny and was geniunely proud of Menorca. Second - Jacque - What a thouroughly great guy , polite , very friendly , funny , amazing language skills , very knowledgeable about the island and made the day really superb for all of us , he really was a pleasure to meet , even after leading the tour around the island all day with non-stop energy leaping in and out of the jeeps and hanging off them taking pictures at one point he still drove us all the way back to our apartment from the middle of the island , he must have been exhausted (the cup of tea at our appartment was the least we could do and it was actually a shame to see him go , could have chatted with him for hours). The tour - Collection from your apartment/hotel (included in the price) , meet the rest of the jeeps at Es Mercadal and head out either driving yourself or being driven , i chose to drive and loved it , my wife also drove including some of the best off road sections ,you travel via back roads and dirt tracks , up hills and down gulleys , through forest and woodland to hill tops and all the way back down to seclude beaches , each step of the way with interesting info from Jacque all supplied with plenty of humour. We all thouroughly enjoyed it and i can't think of a single thing to find fault with , this is one trip where you should for once 'believe the hype' , it will be the best day of your holiday, Menorca truely is a beautiful island and is so much more than the regular tourist attractions you see on the surface.
